DONE!
Jul 13th
It’s been a few days now, actually an entire week, but I’m done! I’ve finished my studies at NTNU and is now a Master of Science :)
I’m currently staying at my parent’s, relaxing, playing golf and beachvolley! Moving was completed in two days, including driving from Skien to Trondheim and back (10h each way). I was pretty exhausted after moving all my stuff.
I’ve found myself an appartment in Oslo, I’m going to live with Torbjørn. I think it’ll be great. The exact details haven’t been worked out yet, so more info to come.
I’m trying to play as much golf as possible, since I’m leaving for Wales and South Africa in less than a week. That will be great! Looking forward to that!
NTNUI VOLLEYBALL WEEKEND
Mar 14th
I’ve had a great weekend doing mostly volleyball related things. It all started out with the annual NTNUI cabin trip:
This year the trip went to “Stykket”, a boyscout cabin in Bymarka, about 25 minutes of skiing from Lian tram station. There, about 20 of NTNUI Volleyball’s finest gathered to have a blast, playing cards, snow volleyball and eating “pølse og brød”.
The snow was falling thick on Friday afternoon and evening, and even more snowfall joined Saturday, perfect! I had a great (but a bit fast-pased) skiing trip with Nina, Rune and Ole before we locked up Stykket and headed back to civilization; and the second scheduled volleyball event:
Saturday afternoon, H2B were match officials in the ladies’ premier division match in Rostenhallen. Despite being pretty dead tired after the cabin trip, everything went ok, without too many glitches. Unfortunately, the NTNUI ladies lost.
Sunday, two of the three last league matches for H2B were played in Åsheimhallen. To make it as painless as possible, I’ll just say we lost both matches and returned home to enjoy the beautiful snowy weather and the rest of the weekend, completely volleyball free!
JULEBORD

THE PASSION
Nov 2nd
As a student I spend quite a lot of time at school working on my project and following my classes. It’s therefore important to have an outside school activity that you enjoy and that can put your mind on something else. For me this outside activity is volleyball.
I’ve played lots and lots of beachvolley every summer since my first year at 6th form (high school), but I’ve never played “the real deal”, the 6 man indoor sport.
Now I play for NTNUI Volleyball, “the best volleyball club in Norway” as they humbly state on their homepage.
It is great fun! I play on H2B, which when decrypted tells you that I play for the Men’s Second team in the Second division.
I’ve decided to prioritize volleyball this season, above other outside school activities. I don’t regret a bit! The team mates are great and it’s fun to see how we progress as individual players, and as a team. I learn a lot at every practice.
The NTNUI Volleyball club is quite big with its 8 ladies teams and 5 men teams. This makes the atmosphere very good and the “Julebord”, coming November 12th will be a huge event! Almost everyone on H2B will attend!
By joining the NTNUI Volleyball club I’ve met a lot of cool new people and I’ve taken a refereeing class, making me a Referee 1 Trainee. It’ll be fun to see how my refereeing and playing career evolves!
Choosing volleyball as my outside-school-passion was a very good choice!
TAG CLOUDS AND VOLLEYBALL
Mar 24th
Everyone that knows me know that I’m a big fan of volleyball and specially beachvolley. It might therefore come as a surprise to some, but yesterday I played the first “real”, organized volleyball match in my entire life!
Roberto and I have started playing for AS INSA, the school’s volley team and we had our first match with the team yesterday, and lost. We’re not disappointed, but we both know that we and the other team members could have skipped a whole bunch of errors and maybe won. We won the first set, but lost the second and third (3 set match).
Anyhow.
As you can see, there is a new “widget” on the right, the cloud tag. iPublish has recently launched this new categorizing feature, so I figured I could start using it right away. I’m not completely sure about the cloud tag image, it might be changed. What do you think about it? Too much, boring, really cool? Tell me!
Now I’m going to sit down and complete my part of the QSE project (Qualité, Sécurité et Environnement).
Have a splendid evening and let me know if the cloud tag box looks weird in your browser!
