SUMMER 2010: WALES

The past few days, I’ve been with Tom in Moss, a small village near Wrexham in Wales. We’ve planned the upcoming South Africa trip, played with ther puppy dog Rosie and played some golf. It’s been great.

We also paid Chester a visit, one of the oldest Roman cities in Great Britain. We got to see some sights and I bought myself some proper golfing clothes (trousers and polos) so that I will be allowed entrance in South Africa. Tomorrow we leave for London and the day after tomorrow, the trip to South Africa will finally begin!

BUNGEE JUMP AT RJUKAN

Andreas and I bungee jumped from the 84m high Vemork bridge near Rjukan today. Absolutely fantastic! I don’t have any images of the jumps atm., so an image of the jump order will have to do. 8: Andreas and 9: me!

It’s been a few days now, actually an entire week, but I’m done! I’ve finished my studies at NTNU and is now a Master of Science :)

I’m currently staying at my parent’s, relaxing, playing golf and beachvolley! Moving was completed in two days, including driving from Skien to Trondheim and back (10h each way). I was pretty exhausted after moving all my stuff.

I’ve found myself an appartment in Oslo, I’m going to live with Torbjørn. I think it’ll be great. The exact details haven’t been worked out yet, so more info to come.

I’m trying to play as much golf as possible, since I’m leaving for Wales and South Africa in less than a week. That will be great! Looking forward to that!

The past weeks, the past month actually, it’s been long days and not much fun going on. I’m currently having a break and tried out the Polarize app for iPhone. So, here’s the photo. It represents my life at the moment.

Thanks to @oddf, I’m sitting here, listening to NRK P2, where they discuss how Internet changes us, the way we work and the way we think.

On that note, I checked out my Google History, and realized that I use Google quite often and I thought I’d share the statistics with you.

Top 3 searches:

Top 3 searches, web addresses and popular links the past year.

Two of the three top links belong to my project, where I use TeXnicCenter to write my reports, and I work a lot at NTNU Nanolab. PHP is an interest of mine, and will probably stay on top of the list for quite some time :)

I’m pretty happy with the centre column, topped by the English and Norwegian Wikipedia. UbuntuForums.org reaches third thanks to my Radionette Menuett HTPC, running Ubuntu (lots to learn for year long Windows user).

The third column is also related to my HTPC and my project (LaTeX).

The weekly trend is that I’m quite “search happy” Monday through Thursday, while I do a little less searching during Friday and Saturday.

On the hourly chart, I guess I can say that for the most part, I go to bed before midnight. Further I seem to stop searching around 17-18 (maybe dinnertime), but I start again in the evening).

So what does this tell me?

To be honest, it was a bit scary to see how much I actually use Google. However, I found it quite interesting, and it relates well to my feeling of what I look up on the internet.
