TOWER, THIS IS A380 READY FOR TAKE-OFF

I found a few images from Joao's goodbye party. Look how great the weather is in Toulouse (last week anyway)

Geir, Roberto and Tom playing ball in the nice weather

Tom (rugby, Wales) saw his country lose against France in rugby later that night (27th)

Tina and Emelie made us "semle", buns with cream and marsipan. Delicious!

I'm off to do something, haven't any plans yet!

SO MUCH TO TELL

The sadest part:
I'm going to start with something that happened in the beginning of the winter holiday, before we left for Marseilles, Nîmes and all that: The Portugese Dinner.

Saturday 14th Susana, Joao and Tiago invited everyone for Portugese dinner because Tiago is leaving us :S The food was great and it was good a good way to say goodbye to Tiago!

Back three: Kristofer, Tiago, Geir
Front three: Joao, Tom, Cate

About two weeks later (last Friday) it was Joao's turn to say goodbye. Roberto and Geir organized a goodbye dinner and we had super burgers and hot dogs :D It's really sad to have lost the two best Portuguese guys alive. Luckily we're seeing them again in May!

The happier part:
Last Wednesday I turned 23 (iPublish found me old and are now censoring my age). Turning 23 is no big thing, I don't look any older nor do I feel any older. Still wanted to celebrate it, so Thursday Malena and I had a get-together  (she turned 24 Thursday). We had bought in lots of food and cake and something to drink (Carrefour has good cakes).

We both got a super fun present from Charlotte (Who recently came back from a month in Australia) - a pen with a jumping kangaroo!

From the others I got a volleyball, signed by pretty much everyone. A gift I really really really appreciated!

Saturday I used most of the day finishing my PPI report (Parcours Professionel Individualisé), but more importantly: We had our first outdoor picnic! In February!

Santiago, Roberto and Astrid

It was actually not bad at all, I thought it would be colder. I had a sweater (and a half) and that was enough most of the time. It was windy so the windchill factor made it cold sometimes. Non the less, February! In the evening I saw Grand Torino, Clint Eastwood's latest movie. Money well spent. It is fantastic, such a strong story!

I forgot being invited to Oulya's birthday party (baad), so I came a bit late but had great fun! I truly love the French way to party! Specially the tradition of having Michel Sardou's "Les lacs du Connemara" as the last song! It is so much fun and such a great ambiance when everyone makes a ring and jumpes/dances together!

Michel Sardou - Les Lacs du Connemara

Today I've done quite a lot. I got up around 10h and saw Die Hard 4.0 before I helped the BEE distributing flyers and posters for this Thursday's Erasmus party at Le Ramier. Then I threw some balls (rugby) with Tom before we ate dinner and ended the evening with Braveheart at Juha's. A perfect end to a weekend with lots of happenings!

PS. In my last post I listed the trips I've planned so far. Now I've added two more trips.

July 10th-12th: Visiting Tom for his birthday and to play golf in England

August 21-23rd: Going to London to celebrate Cate!

BACK FROM HOLIDAY, WHEN IS THE NEXT?

Our trip to Marseilles, Aix-en-Provende, Avignon and Nîmes was great! Super weather and beautiful cities. Extensive covering of the trip will come in not too long.

The two days in the holiday where we didn't go anywhere we planned this semester's traveling. These are the plans I know about until summer:

March 13th - 15th: Barcelona

Easter, Week 1: Skiing in the Alpes

Easter, Week 2: Road trip in Spain (Madrid) and Andorra

May 7th - 10th: Visiting Joao and Tiago in Porto (and the student festival)

June 20th - 28th: Interrail with Geir (others who want in?) towards Kopenhagen

June 28th - July 5th: Roskilde festival!

July 7th: Start working for the summer

The coming months will be great!

But, now I have lots to do! Today there is a QSE project (Qualité, Sécurité et Environnement) that is to be presented, and other stuff.

Later people!

THE RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Short day summary: A great day, Cate didn't show up at lunch, we got worried, thinking she had hurt herself. She texted us after an hour saying she had lost track of time ...
Santiago jumped dived
and landed on his lip, not too bad, but noteworthy.
Geir hurt his hip quite bad while barely avoiding a crazy girl without driving skills (#£@%€).
Cate and I were just exhausted after a great day!

Here are some images to show off:

It was crowded, specially in the lower parts of the resort

Santiago and me ready for the slopes

Geir enjoying the snow

Santiago vs. black bumpy slope

The crusty top made it hard to do off-pist, but we managed to do some still :D

A tired and hurt, but happy, gang! (Santiago, Cate and Geir)

 Until next time!
