We can only adapt, as we have to at some point.

By the way, lunch?

What is too late? Earth is a balanced system. Maybe we have driven it out of balance. Climate change may be earth's way of retaining balance while we suffer.
Political will does not exist for 1000 years. Just look 1000 years back.

If it's unreasonable or not is hard to say. But the important thing is that we manage to start fixing our planet as soon as possible. We're on the edge of the cliff. Earth has so far managed to deal with human emissions, but at some point the damage will be irreversible.

It doesn't matter if it takes us 1000 years for us to fix the problem, as long as we start the process before it's too late.

If we consider the Industrial Revolution as the beginning of our destruction, we have been destroying our planet for 150 years.
Because everything takes much longer to fix than to destroy, is there any reason to hope that we can fix it? Is it unreasonable to believe that it will take 1000 years to correct what we have damaged?
